Hi there, I’m Emily, and this is my podcast.
This post really covers most of what I’d probably say on this page and is a good place to start if you want to know who I am, but the even shorter version is that I live in the Boston area, I like yarn, I like yarn a LOT, I have a Master’s degree in Library Science (currently looking for a job, we’ll see where that goes), I have a book blog over here, and I have a lot of friends who are fantastically artistic or creative in some way.
The even SHORTER version, I guess, would be “She’s just this girl, you know?” But I guess that would not be helpful.
Why is it “We Have Thumbs?”
Ha. Well, thumbs are awesome! I like mine. Also I was sleep deprived at a con when I came up with it as a name, and started telling people thinking they would tell me it was stupid, but everyone really liked it soooo here we are. The great thing about it is that it really let me open up the focus of the show a little bit more, so I don’t feel like I need to focus on traditional crafts or art. Instead I’m going to be talking to people who make all kinds of things, including robots, which is pretty awesome.
